Your 2020 New Years Resolution for UX

 

When we started to look at our events calendar for 2020, we thought long and hard about January. Typically a cold and dark month, where many of us are energised and excited for the year to come. January is also a time where we start to look ahead planning what changes we can make and how can we do things differently; how can we do things better? We do this personally, but how many of us do this professionally? Whether that is as an individual or as a business.

This got us thinking. We believe that every company, organisation or brand’s number 1 resolution should be: “understand my users and help them achieve their goals”. There are several ways EUX can help tick off that number 1 resolution (UCD process, Audits and diary studies to name a few) which we of course encourage you to consider.

We also thought about how we could encourage you to keep that resolution throughout the year (and beyond), and we all agreed that we should equip more individuals with the tools to do this. So, our initial training trilogy was born; featuring our tried and trusted Foundation of UX training and two brand new courses. Each course has ten places available, ensuring we can work with each attendee personally.

We’ve run this half-day foundation course for many years now, and we’re bringing it back for January 2020. It is ideal for anyone new to UX or anyone looking to understand more about what UX is, and what role it plays in modern business. We’ve always had excellent feedback from attendees, and we know this is a great course to send people on who need a more in-depth understanding of everything to do with UX. Designing experiences is something that gets mentioned a lot, yet rarely feels clearly defined or with a tangible set of actions against it.
